Erika Lange Named to Big Ten Women's Volleyball All-Freshman Team

EVANSTON, Ill. - Wildcat freshman middle blocker Erika Lange (Orland Park, Ill.) has been named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team. Lange is the first Wildcat to earn Big Ten All-Freshman team honors.

Lange, 6-3, averaged 3.51 kills per game to lead the Wildcats. She hit at a .255 clip and averaged 1.45 blocks per game. Lange set the new school career record in kills per game, and is eighth on the single-season chart with 3.51. She checks in at fourth all-time for career hitting percentage (.255) and 10th in total blocks with 261. Lange ended the season ranked third in the Big Ten in blocks. She now holds the NU single-season record for block assists (146) and total blocks (162).

Northwestern ended the 2000 season with a 5-25 record and 2-18 in the Big Ten.
