EVANSTON, Ill. -
Northwestern head men's golf coach Pat Goss announced today the signing of Dillon Dougherty (Woodland Hills, Calif./Woodland) to a National Letter of Intent to play golf at Northwestern University beginning in the fall of 2001.
"I'm excited that Dillon chose Northwestern," said head coach Pat Goss. "He's a hard worker and is a good fit for NU golf. I'm looking forward to see what he can accomplish as a collegiate golfer."
Dillon Dougherty:
* 6th place finish at 1998 California State Junior.
* Qualified for the U.S. Amateur in 1998 and 1999, medaling in 1998.
* Advanced to second round of U.S. Junior in 1999.
* Finished in top five at AJGA Sacramento in 2000.
* Finished in top five at AJGA ClubCorp in 2000.
* Selected All-Delta League in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
* Selected All-Metro in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
* National Honor Society member.
