Men's Golf Tied for 11th After One Round at NCAA Central Regional

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern men's golf team stands in a tie for 11th after the first round of the NCAA Central Regional in Victoria, Texas. Northwestern shot a first round score of 296 to put them 11 strokes behind team leaders, Houston and SMU (285).

Junior Luke Donald leads the way for the Wildcats shooting a first-round 69 to put him in a tie for second. Seniors Josh Habig and Jess Daley shot first round totals of 73 and 74, respectively.

Rounding out the Wildcat contingent was senior Danny Riskam firing a one round total of 80 while sophomore Chris Thayer finished with an 81.

Round two of the NCAA Central Regional begins tomorrow at 8 a.m.
