Men's Tennis Slams Colorado, 6-1

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern University men's tennis team closed out its spring break trip to California with a 6-1 win over Colorado Friday afternoon in La Jolla. The win was allowed the Wildcats to go 2-1 on the trip and improve their record to 6-7 overall.

Northwestern gained the first point of the day by winning two of the three doubles matches, highlighted by Josh Axler and Jamie Sahara, 9-7, at No. 3. The Wildcats then shut the door on the Buffaloes by winning five of the six singles matches, four of them in convincing fashion.

Northwestern will be home next weekend for a pair of Big Ten matches. The Wildcats host Michigan on Saturday and Michigan on Sunday. Both matches are scheduled to start at 12 noon Central.
