EVANSTON, Ill. - Senior Scott Schatzman (Chesterfield, Mo./Parkway Central) placed fifth at the NCAA Wrestling Championships, which were held this weekend in St. Louis, Mo. Schatzman defeated Michigan's Damian Logan for the third time this year, 17-4, to place fifth. That allowed the 141-pounder, to earn All-America honors.
As a team, Northwestern finished in 29th position with 15 points. Big Ten champion Mark Bybee (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) finished the tournament with a 1-2 record at 174 pounds, as did Matt Huebner (Woodstock, Ill.Woodstock) at 197 pounds. NU's 184-pounder, senior Tom Ciezki (Evergreen Park, Ill./St. Laurence), finished the championships with an 0-2 record.
