EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's tennis team is ranked 10th in this week's WingspanBank.com Collegiate Tennis Rankings, the official collegiate tennis poll. The 'Cats were ranked 16th last week, their lowest ranking of the season. The current ranking is the highest of the season, as the 'Cats are 11-2 with losses coming at the hands of top-ranked Duke and Notre Dame. The 'Cats have been idle for two weeks and will resume dual match play on Wednesday, March 22 at the University of San Diego.
Senior Katherine Nasser (Arlington Heights, Ill.) is ranked 60th this week as she has an 4.81 points average. Nasser is 23-11 overall and 6-6 in dual matches at the No. 1 spot this season. Sophomore Lia Jackson (Glendale, Wis.) is 94th this week, after compiling a 13-0 record at No. 4. The duo of Nasser and Colleen Cheng (Hissborough, Calif.) are ranked 24th this week after being 54th last week. The tandem has compiled a 6-3 record this season and are averaging 6.79 points in the polls.
