EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern will play its NCAA Championships Round of 16 match at No. 2-seed Florida (in Gainesville, Fla.) on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. EST/1 p.m. CST. Florida was ranked third in the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll, Northwestern 20th.
In the NCAA tournament second round last weekend, Florida defeated No. 24 James Madison, 5-1, while Northwestern knocked off No. 17 Baylor, 5-4. Northwestern is one of only three schools in the tournament field who did not receive a first-round bye, and the only school to have won two NCAA games on the road.
