EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's golf finished tied for third place at this weekend's Myrtle Beach Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Wildcats posted team scores of 320 and 318 to conclude the tournament tied with the College of Charleston at 638. Minnesota won the tournament at 623 followed by Iowa at 630.
Individually, junior Karen England (Paris, Ontario, Canada/Paris District) tied for runner-up honors with Minnesotas Kristi Weichert at 154. Iowa's M.C. Mullen won the tournament at 148. Wildcat freshman Emily Gilley (Floosmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) took 13th place at 159 while teammate Kristen Lindvall (Jackson, Tenn./University School of Jackson) finished in 14th place at 160.
Complete Wildcat individual results and team standings appear below. Next up for the NU women's golf team will be the Indiana Invitational, scheduled for April 10-11 in Bloomington, Ind.
