Women's Golf in Third Place After Round One of Hawkeye Invitational

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's golf team stands in third place after one round of the Hawkeye Invitational, being played at the Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City. NU posted a team score of 327 on Saturday. Indiana leads the tournament at 307 followed by Minnesota at 318.

Individually, junior Karen England (Paris, Ontario, Canada/Paris District) is in fourth place at four-over-par 77. Indiana's Erin Carney leads the field with a one-under-par 72. NU freshman Emily Gilley (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) and junior Colleen Kiely (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) are part of a five-way group tied for 12th place at 80.

Complete team and NU's individual results appear below. The final round of the 36-hole tournament will take place on Sunday.
