Women's Golf in Third Place After Round One at Myrtle Beach Classic

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's golf team stands in third place after round one of the Myrtle Beach Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Wildcats posted a team score of 320 on Saturday afternoon, six strokes behind first-place Iowa (314) and two behind Minnesota (318).

Individually, four Wildcats rank among the top 16 scorers after one round. Christie Hermes is tied for fifth place at six-over-par 78, six strokes behind Iowa's M.C. Mullen. Karen England and Amylou Dueck are tied for eighth at 79. Emily Gilley stands tied for 16th at 81.

Complete Wildcat results and team standings after round one appear below. The final round of the 36-hole tournament is scheduled for Sunday.
