EVANSTON, Ill. - Freshman left-hander Ryan Bos (Barrington, Ill./Lake Zurich) has been selected by Collegiate Baseball as a relief pitcher on the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American team.
Bos was 1-3 this season with a 3.81 ERA, holding left-handed hitters to a .111 batting average. His eight saves were second in the Big Ten. From Feb. 27-Apr. 21 he compiled a stretch of 15 consecutive appearances without giving up an earned run. Earlier this year he was named the second-team relief pitcher among freshmen on Baseball America's "All-America Checklist."
