STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - Lisa Shepherd had 17 points, all in the second half, as No. 21 Penn State defeated Northwestern 93-60 on Wednesday night. The win was the Nittany Lions' (14-5, Big Ten 6-3) fifth victory in their last six games.

Megan Chawansky led the Wildcats (8-11, 2-7) with 24 points. Shepherd's 5-for-10 shooting from the 3-point line anchored Penn State's second-half offense. Chawansky and Leslie Schock, who scored 22 of Northwestern's 32 second-half points, carried the Wildcats. Six Penn State players scored more than 10 points.
