Northwestern Women's Golf Finishes 14th at SMU/OSU Challenge

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Northwestern women's golf team finished 14th at the SMU/OSU Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif. with a team score of 938. Tulsa won the event with a three-round total of 875.

Freshman Kristen Beystehner was NU's top finisher, tying for 35th with a three-round score of 230. She sandwiched a round of 80 in between two solid rounds of 75. Sophomore Karen England and junior Amylou Dueck tied for 53rd with scores of 236. Senior Libby Gilley tied for 69th with a three-round total of 242 and freshman Christie Hermes was 81st with a 251 tally.

NU finished ahead of Big Ten foes Wisconsin, (16th-963) and Michigan (18th-1022). Ohio State was 10th with a final score of 919.
