No. 12 Women's Swimming and Diving Edges Purdue, 155-145

EVANSTON, Ill. - The 12th-ranked Northwestern women's swimming and diving team (5-2, 4-1 Big Ten) won their second conference meet in as many days, beating Purdue, 155-145, today in West Lafayette, Ind.

Junior Amy Balcerzak and classmate Courtney Allen once again led the way for the Wildcats. Balcerzak won both the 100 and 200 breaststroke events for the second- consecutive day as did Allen in the sprint events (50 and 100 freestyle). Other Wildcat winners included junior Kelly Igoe (200 freestyle in a season-best 1:53.40), senior Cathy Lundin (100 butterfly), sophomore Tashy Bohm (100 backstroke) and freshman Merritt Adams (200 butterfly).

Northwestern returns to action next Sat., Jan. 30 at Penn State.
