Men's Swimming & Diving Team Notches Win in Season Opener

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern opened its 1998-99 men's swimming and diving season with a 144-75 win over Wisconsin-Milwaukee at the Norris Aquatics Center. The Wildcats took first place individually in each of the meets first 11 events. Sophomore Jason Wennerholt captured firsts in both the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:59.84) and the 200-yard butterfly (1:58.34). Other Wildcat winners included:

Northwestern swims again at home Saturday against Big Ten foe Minnesota at 5 p.m. NU's men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host nine other schools at the NU Relays Sunday at noon.
