EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Northwestern men's golf team, ranked 13th in the country, stands in second place after three rounds at the Big Ten Championships, being played at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Minneapolis. NU posted a team score on Saturday of 284 for a 54-hole total of 849. Seventh-ranked Minnesota leads the tournament, just two strokes ahead of the Wildcats.
Individually, senior Erik Ciotti (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) is tied for fourth place at one-under-par 212. Michigan's Michael Harris leads the field at six-under-par 207. Wildcat junior Jess Daley (Kent, Wash./Kentwood), sophomore Luke Donald (High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England) and junior David Shaffer (Andover, Mass./Andover) are tied for eighth place after 54 holes at one-over-par 214. Senior Josh Habig (Jasper, Ind./Jasper) is tied for 14th at 216. The Wildcats are the only school to have all five players in the top 20 entering Sunday's final round.
