Men's Golf in Eighth After Round Two at San Juan Shootout

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern men's golf team stands in eighth place out of 18 teams after two rounds of the San Juan Shootout, being played at the Rio Mar Country Club in San Juan, Puerto Rico. NU has posted team score 290-289 for a total of 579. Clemson leads the field at 557 followed by Georgia Tech at 559. Georgia is third at 571.

Individually, Luke Donald stands in seventh place after two rounds, posting back-to-back 70s for a four-under-par 140. East Tennessee State's David Christensen leads the tournament at 136. Donald is in a five-way tie for seventh which includes last year's U.S. Amateur champion Matt Kuchar of Georgia Tech. Donald is one stroke ahead of a pack which includes Georgia Tech's Bryce Molder, last season's Jack Nicklaus Award winner as college player of the year.
