Lisa Colucci Named Assistant Field Hockey Coach

EVANSTON, Ill. - First-year Northwestern head field hockey coach Diane Loosbrock today announced the hiring of former Wildcat standout Lisa Colucci as assistant coach.

"I am pleased to have Lisa join our staff and help return the Northwestern field hockey program to national prominence," Loosbrock said. "Her hockey background, both as a player and coach, will be a great asset to the program."

Colucci, a native of Oak Park, Ill., played four seasons at defender/right back for the 'Cats from 1993-96. Colucci started all 40 matches her final two seasons while serving as team captain as a senior. She also was a member of NU's 1994 squad which was ranked No. 1 in the country for much of the season and advanced to the NCAA tournament semifinals.

Colucci graduated from Northwestern in 1997 with a B.S. in communication studies. Last year, she served as head middle school coach and assistant varsity coach for the girls' field hockey teams at North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, Ill.
