EVANSTON, Ill. - Senior Annie Scuilli (Short Hills, N.J./Oak Knoll) scored on a penalty corner midway through the second overtime period to lift Northwestern to a 3-2, come-from-behind win over Southwest Missouri State on Friday afternoon.
SMS jumped out to a 2-0 lead at halftime, holding NU to only three shots in the first half. The 'Cats got on the board early in the second period on a goal by fifth-year senior Shannon West (St. Charles, Mo./Villa Duchesne). West and Lindsay Wright would assist on the tying goal, scored on a corner by freshman midfielder Nicole Smith.
