PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Northwestern senior Doug Bohaboy (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto) won four singles matches at the 1998 Penn Conference Classic, before bowing out to the No. 1 seed, Minnesota's Tom Chicoine, in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) in the men's singles title match Sunday at Penn's Robert P. Levy Tennis Pavilion.
In the consolation finals, the Wildcats' Brad Erickson (Eugene, Ore./South Eugene) won the singles title, defeating Columbia's Scott Watnik, 6-2 and 6-4. En route to winning the title, Erickson did not drop a set in four matches in the consolation draw.
