Chicago, Ill. - Sophomore shortstop Jeremy Kurella (Dunedin, Fla./Dunedin) had four hits, including his fourth home run of the season, as Northwestern defeated Chicago State, 7-2. Kurella got the Wildcats on the board in the third inning with an RBI-single, one of his four RBIs on the day. His solo homer in the seventh gave the 'Cats a 4-1 lead and his two-run single highlighted a three-run eighth inning that put the game out of reach. Junior pitcher Ben Dodd (Belleville, Ill./West) went the distance for his first win of the season.
