Freshman right-hander Gabe Ribas (Brunswick, Maine/Brunswick) struck out eight in a 8.1 inning effort, but Northwestern could not hold his lead, losing its second extra-inning game of the season. The Wildcats had led 6-2 entering the eighth inning before giving up three in the ninth. Junior J.P. Williamson (Oak Park, Ill./River Forest) had three hits, including a home run, in a losing effort for NU.
